ABOUT

Artist’s Statement
In the profound realm of artistic exploration, I’ve discovered that confronting and embracing my own truths has been a transformative and enlightening journey. It is within the intricate landscapes of identity and reality that I have unearthed the profound essence of my existence. Through the mediums of sculpture, collage, and painting, I have embarked on a creative odyssey, delving deep into the concealed layers of my being.
Every piece I craft acts as a portal where identity and reality blur, meld, and diverge, much like the ever-evolving nature of human existence itself. I often portray people or other objects passing through a grid to depict the relationship between time and space. The process of creation has not only allowed me to better comprehend the multifaceted facets of my own life but has also enabled me to share this introspective journey with others.
My art is not just a reflection of my inner world; it reveals the shared complexities of the human condition. Through this exploration of self, I have found a profound connection to the world and the people around me.
Biography
My early life can be characterized by my birth on an island and upbringing amidst a sea of cornfields. It is essential to acknowledge the interplay between my Filipino heritage and the formative influence of my Topeka, Kansas upbringing, which has significantly contributed to my distinct creative perspective.
Following the attainment of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphic Design from Fort Hays State University, I embarked upon a multifaceted vocational journey in pursuit of my artistic inclinations. Presently, I reside in Kansas City, where I hold dual roles as an artist and fabricator, representing a convergence of my artistic aspirations.
